"A strong spirit, when it has a great purpose, strengthens a weak body."
Mark Twain
In our gym you can train all muscle groups. The gym is equipped with free weights, professional exercise machines and functional training equipment, ideal for both individual and circuit training. The atmosphere is always family friendly and fun, the rooms are not too big, so training always requires an appointment. The biggest advantage of this is that it is easier to keep to the scheduled appointments and minimises waiting time at the machines.
"There are two ways of seeing: with the body and with the soul. The body's sight can sometimes forget, but the soul remembers forever."
Alexandre Dumas
You are not alone.
Muscle is not built in the gym. You'll work out well here, given your current condition, but how fast you progress will also be a function of all those circumstances that, for simplicity's sake, we'll call habits. This could include whether you are doing sedentary work, whether you have a history of injury, how you eat, how much sleep you get, how much stress there is in your life, how much time you get to exercise in a week, and so on. We'll talk these through at the beginning, set goals together and celebrate them one step at a time. :-)
"What we eat is just as important as what we don't eat."
Servaas Bingé
As well as exercise, what you eat morning, noon and night is just as important. The growth, firmness and tone of your muscles will vary depending on the right nutrition, complemented by a functional massage, muscle relaxation and adequate sleep.
If you put poor nutritional value foods into your body, your cells will produce worthless proteins and this will eventually lead to deficiency diseases, even with regular exercise. As a nutritionist, I will help you to formulate your diet - taking into account any intolerances, allergies, sensitivities, existing diseases - to reach your goals as quickly as possible, without starving or fasting.
"Be aware to choose every bite and make good choices. After all, our body is not a trash can."
Barbara Iller
"Massage is the study of anatomy in braille."
Jack Meagher
"The goal of natural therapies is to support and strengthen the body's own healing powers," says Dr. Franz Wagner, author of The Art of Massage.
Weight training causes injuries to muscle fibres, a natural process of muscle building and development. This is complemented to an extraordinary extent by therapeutic massage, which helps the muscle to regenerate and avoid strains, arthritis and reduce muscle fever, not to mention the stress-relieving and refreshing benefits of massage.
"Massage is the only physical pleasure to which nature has forgotten to attach consequences."
Robert Breault
